Gameplay: Deception, Deduction, and a Dash of Bluffing

In a Grove presents a unique and compelling gameplay experience that blends deduction, bluffing, and a touch of psychological maneuvering.

• Witnesses to a Crime: Each player takes on the role of a witness to a murder, but each witness has only seen a part of the truth.
• Secret Information: Nine person-shaped figures are in play. Three are randomly selected as suspects. Each suspect has a number (2-8) hidden on their back. Normally, the highest number is the murderer, BUT if a '5' is present, the lowest number is the murderer.
• Limited Viewing: Each player secretly looks at the numbers on two of the three suspects. You don't know everything!
• Accusations and Bluffing: Players take turns making accusations, pointing at a suspect they believe is the murderer. You can tell the truth, or you can bluff to mislead your opponents and gain points.
• Scoring: Points are awarded for correctly identifying the murderer, and for successfully bluffing other players into making incorrect accusations.
• Updated Rules (Revised Edition):
  • Chip Removal: When you correctly deduce the criminal, your chips are removed from the game, creating a sense of urgency as the game progresses.
  • Increased Starting Chips: Players now start with 7 chips instead of 5.
  • Starting Player Change: The player with the most penalties becomes the starting player in the next round, adding a dynamic element to the gameplay.
