Gameplay: Communicate in Secret, Decipher the Deception

Decrypto pits two teams against each other in a battle of wits, where clever wordplay and careful deduction are the keys to victory.

1. Secret Keywords: Each team receives a screen and four keyword cards, which are placed in numbered slots (1-4) and visible only to that team. These are your team's secret words for the entire game.
2. Code Creation: Each round, one player on each team becomes the "Encryptor." They draw a code card showing a three-digit sequence (e.g., 3-1-4).
3. Coded Clues: The Encryptor must then give three clues, one for each number in the sequence. These clues must relate to the meaning of their team's secret keywords, without explicitly stating the words themselves. (e.g., For keywords "pig," "candy," "tent," and "son," and a code of 4-2-1, clues might be: "Boy," "Sweet," "Oink.")
4. Team Guessing: The Encryptor's teammates try to guess the numerical code (e.g., 3-1-4), not the keywords themselves, based on the clues given.
5. Interception: Crucially, the opposing team also listens to the clues and tries to guess the numerical code.
6. Scoring:
   • Correct Team Guess: If a team guesses their own code correctly, they avoid a "black mark" of failure.
   • Correct Opponent Guess: If a team correctly guesses the opponent's code, they earn a "white mark" of success.
   • Incorrect Guesses: Incorrect guesses by your own team earn a black mark.
7. Winning and Losing: The game continues for multiple rounds. The first team to earn two white marks wins. The first team to earn two black marks loses.
8. Final Guess (Tiebreaker): If neither team wins after eight rounds, both teams attempt to guess all four of the opposing team's keywords. The team with the most correct guesses wins.
