Gameplay: A Balancing Act of Greed and Deception

Fafnir is all about cleverly managing your gem collection and manipulating the market to your advantage. Here's how it works:

1. The Generous Chicken: Each round, Fafnir the chicken lays two new gems in the center of the table.
2. Secret Bids: Players secretly choose which gems from their own collection they want to "throw away" (discard).
3. The Big Discard: The player(s) who discard the most gems get to take all the gems Fafnir laid that round. But there's a catch!
4. The Color Restriction: You cannot discard gems of the same color as those currently on Fafnir. This forces tough choices and strategic sacrifices.
5. Fluctuating Values: At the end of each round (when one color of gem reaches a set quantity), the value of the gems is determined.
   • Most Common Color: Worth 3 points per gem.
   • Second Most Common: Worth 2 points per gem.
   • All Other Colors: Worth -1 point per gem!
6. Gold's Constant Value: Gold gems are always worth 1 point, providing a safe (but less lucrative) option.
7. The Winner: The game continues until a set number of rounds (or a set gem threshold is reached). The player with the most points from their remaining gem collection wins!
