New Mechanics: Factions & Allegiances

In Coup: Reformation, players must now declare their allegiance to one of two factions: the Loyalists or the Resistance.

  • Factional Warfare: You can only block or Coup players from the opposing faction, unless everyone at the table belongs to the same group.

  • The Treasury: Players can pay the "Almshouse" (the Treasury) to change their own allegiance or force another player to switch sides.

  • The Embezzler: As long as you aren't a member of the "Duke's" circle, you can try to embezzle the funds accumulated in the Treasury—unless someone calls your bluff!

  • Expanded Roster: With new character cards included, you can now host massive games for up to 10 players, making it the ultimate party experience for large groups.
